Every person is born spiritually dead in sin, but God graciously sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice so that anyone who repents and puts their faith in Jesus receives forgiveness, adoption, and eternal life. We proclaim the gospel as the message of salvation, the basis of our new identity, and the means of walking in new life.

Our Savior calls us to walk in new life through denying ourselves, abiding in His love, and keeping His commandments. We nurture disciples of Christ through biblical teaching and intentional relationships to grow in love of God and love of neighbor, bearing fruit in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Through the Spirit, diverse people are made into a new family by faith in Christ rather than by a shared human culture or characteristic. We base our fellowship on biblical truths, and in matters of Christian liberty we humbly serve others ahead of ourselves because unity is God’s gift to us and a testimony to the world.

Joel Passmore
Lead Pastor
Joel has lived in Richmond most of his life, is a VCU graduate, and worked in engineering before answering God's call to vocational ministry. He and Nikki have been married for 20 years and have two teenage daughters. Joel is passionate about the church's Spirit-driven and Christ-centered mission to make disciples of all nations. He is a musician and plays guitar in several local bands.
Jacob Jackson
Pastoral Assistant
Jacob & Vickery are natives of Holden Beach, NC and have lived in Richmond since 2018. They have been married for 17 years and have four great kids: Noah (15), Levi (12), Rebekah (9), and Nehemiah (7) as well as two dogs named Tater and Tot. Jacob is unashamedly passionate about the church, nerdy hobbies, and cooking. Jacob leads our youth ministry, handles administrative tasks, and helps pastor Joel with preaching and soul care.
Steven Williams
Operations Coordinator
Steven, born in West Virginia, moved to the Richmond metro area in his teenage years, where he would later meet his lovely wife, Shannon. They live in North Chesterfield along with their two children, Luke and Avery. Steven loves music, particularly hip hop, and enjoys getting to know people. Please say, "Hello!" when you get the chance!
